The low serial number indicates that this lens was manufactured around 1860.
French lens.
Length approximately 10 cm. The slit in the body of the lens is for inserting diaphragms of different apertures (a system known as ‘valve diaphragms’).
Diaphragms are missing, but can easily be found online.
Very good optical and external condition.
